*RARE* 1821 "THE ECLECTIC REVIEW" VOL 16 JULY TO DEC 1821 ANTIQUE BOOK (T5)
Great *RARE* antique fine binding hardback book from 1821. Volume 16 covering July to December 1821.
The Eclectic Review was a British periodical published monthly during the first half of the 19th century aimed at highly literate readers of all classes. Published between 1805 and 1868, it reviewed books in many fields, including literature, history, theology, politics, science, art, and philosophy.
Photo 4 shows antique pen writing on the title page which says this is volume 16 and not 1820 volume 14 and photo 6 says "not applicable to this volume" on the first contents page. I have volume 15 for sale too so I can confirm that this person is correct and this book is volume 16 for July to December 1821. A lot of pages have foxing or smudges (mainly initial pages). Photo 17 shows a name in pen which is dated 1857. Binding and other pages inside are in great condition especially as the pages are 203 years old.
Measures 21.5cm tall x 13cm wide x 4cm thick. Weighs 745 grams.
